Blue Herbs Celebrates World Book Day by Sharing Our Top Four Books of The Moment

As it’s World Book Day we thought we could compile a list of our top books related to nutritional supplements for any keen readers who would like to delve deeper into the knowledge behind each vitamin or mineral and its unique benefits to health.

Number ten on the list is ‘The Real Vitamin and Mineral Book, 4th edition: The Definitive Guide to Designing Your Personal Supplement Program Kindle Edition’ written by Nancy Bruning and Shari Lieberman. It gives the most up-to-date scientific information related to each supplement and has the main purpose of helping you to design your own supplement program. If this sounds of interest to you head to amazon.co.uk to purchase the book today: https://amz.run/4MER

Next on our list is ‘Prescription for Nutritional Healing, Fifth Edition: A Practical A-to-Z Reference to Drug-Free Remedies Using Vitamins, Minerals, Herbs & Food Supplements’
It is as the title says a bible for people with a keen interest in healing through dietary change. A comprehensive take on which vitamins and minerals are suitable for which ailments - you can search for alternative healing options by disease and it will give you some recommendations. As one person stated in the Amazon reviews ‘It is a great book for someone who doesn’t like going to the doctors!’ - Personally we think the doctors are important as the first port of call for any ill-health related issues and do not recommend otherwise, but we do love to compliment what comes from the medical professions with a bit of nutritional healing to help.

This book is one we ummed and erred about including on this list, the title makes it seem bold and bordering controversial but with governments now backing the advice behind vitamin D3 supplementation in the fight against COVID19 we felt it important to include nonetheless.
Titled ‘Vitamin D Deficiency and Covid-19 ‘Its central role in the world pandemic’’. If it is of interest we recommend that you read it and make the conclusions for yourself. Having read it we take D3 daily, even if just as a precautionary measure. We are also delighted to see an increased awareness of the same.

This next book is one close to our heart. At Blue Herbs we are passionate about maintaining optimal health, preventing ill disease, and when necessary healing - all through the power of nutritional supplementation. Yet the team will all agree, supplementation is necessary BUT you cannot supplement a poor diet and hope for change, a healthy diet always comes first.
With so many diets out there it can be an absolutely daunting task to know which to align yourself with - are you Vegan, Keto, Paleo? The list goes on and on. So we choose a book that we all agree has the best nutritional advice without forcing you into one category or another. The book is titled ‘How Not To Die’ and is written by Dr. Michael Greger.
